ALBANY - Police have sealed off a patch of University of California, Berkeley land that has been occupied by protesters for nearly three weeks.

Thursday saw an escalation on two fronts of the struggle between UC Berkeley and "Occupy the Farm" activists who took over the UC-owned Gill Tract in Albany on April 22.
